We are vigilantly monitoring the situation around the Coronavirus (COVID-19) to ensure your safety during our ongoing and future operations. We have gotten the go ahead from Gov. Dunleavys office to start tours Thursday May 14th under strict operation guidelines.
Gov. Mike Dunleavy is ending Alaska's 14-day quarantine for interstate travel. Instead, visitors and Alaskans returning to the state will be asked to take a COVID-19 test within 72 hours of boarding an Alaska-bound flight. The new policy goes into effect June 5th.
Gov. Dunleavy has stated that travelers who can't produce proof that they've had a recent test and that the results were negative will be given the choice of taking a test at the terminal or beginning a 14-day quarantine. We care deeply about your safety and that of our staff, so we would like to share some procedures and actions we’re taking to help keep everyone safe. We deep clean our aircraft daily, prior to the first flight each day. Between flights we sanitize headsets, seatbelt buckles, door handles and other areas our passengers may touch during their flight. We do require all passengers to wear a face covering while in the helicopter and during flight. All passengers will be temperature screened and w will be flying people from the same group only. Alaska Helicopter Tours will provide hand sanitizer on the aircraft and a hand washing station for prior to and after their tour. Any Guests displaying symptoms of COVID-19 will be unable to board the aircraft and will be issued a full refund.
Whether you’re at home or traveling, the WHO recommends practicing good hygiene to protect yourself against infection — by washing your hands frequently with soap or alcohol-based sanitizer, maintaining distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing, and avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth. If you become sick, please seek medical attention quickly.
