We love making our tours memorable. We love it even more when we hear it from our guests.
We love our guests and sometimes it’s best to hear it firsthand. Don’t take our word for it. Hear it straight from the people who’ve been there, experienced it, and came back with memories that last a lifetime.
We take care of most things, but you might still have questions. Here are some answers for you as you pick the right tour for you and your group.
No experience is needed. Your guide will walk you through everything and make sure you’re comfortable before entering the water.
It’s definitely a thrill. The water is glacier-fed and extremely cold, but the experience is quick, controlled, and fully guided. You decide how far you want to go—whether it’s a quick dip or a full plunge. We have dry suits available upon request for guests who would like extra warmth. The dry suits keep guests dry, not warm. Guests will need to bring their own layers for underneath to keep warm.
After check-in and a safety briefing, you’ll take a scenic helicopter flight to Knik Glacier. Once on the glacier, your guide will lead you to a meltwater pool for the dip, followed by time to warm up, take photos, and explore before returning by helicopter.
Your tour includes a scenic helicopter flight, glacier landing, expert guide, neoprene boots and gloves, plus hot drinks and a warm robe after your dip. An optional dry suit is also available for the cold plunge upon request.
Safety is our top priority. Your guide carefully selects the location and conditions, and you’ll be supported throughout the experience. That said, the water is extremely cold and may not be suitable for guests with certain medical conditions. An optional dry suit is also available for the cold plunge upon request.
Wear layered clothing and bring a change of clothes for after the tour. We’ll provide essential gear and everything you need to warm up after your dip.
You’ll spend about three hours on the glacier, which includes time for the dip, warming up, and taking in the surrounding landscape.
All flights are weather dependent. If conditions aren’t safe, we’ll work with you to reschedule or provide a full refund.
It’s considered moderate. The dip itself is short, but you’ll be moving around on glacier terrain and exposed to cold conditions.
