Is this a private heli-hiking experience?
No. This tour is with a small group. Seward can host up to 4 guests, Anchorage can host up to 6 guests. Your guide tailors the route, pace, and time on the ground specifically to your group.
How is heli-hiking different from a regular hike?
Helicopter access takes you far beyond crowded trails into remote alpine terrain that can’t be reached on foot. It’s a completely different level of access, views, and solitude.
Do I need hiking experience?
No. This experience is designed for a wide range of abilities. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed walk or a more challenging hike, your guide will adjust the experience to match your comfort level.
What does a typical tour look like?
After check-in and a quick gear prep, you’ll take a scenic helicopter flight to a remote alpine location. From there, you’ll have up to 3.5 hours to explore with your guide—hiking, taking photos, or simply taking in the scenery—before returning by helicopter.
How much hiking is involved?
That’s up to you. This experience moves at your pace. You can cover ground and explore ridgelines or take it slow and stay closer to the landing area—it’s completely customizable.
What’s included in the experience?
Your tour includes a helicopter flight, an expert guide, and trail snacks. Everything is designed to make the experience seamless so you can focus on exploring.
What kind of terrain will we explore?
Your guide selects the best location based on weather and conditions. Most areas feature alpine ridges, tundra landscapes, and views of one or multiple glaciers.
Is this a good option for photographers?
Absolutely. The flexible pace and remote locations make this ideal for photography. Your guide is happy to work around timing, lighting, and positioning to help you get the shot.
