We love making our tours memorable. We love it even more when we hear it from our guests.
We love our guests and sometimes it’s best to hear it firsthand. Don’t take our word for it. Hear it straight from the people who’ve been there, experienced it, and came back with memories that last a lifetime.
We take care of most things, but you might still have questions. Here are some answers for you as you pick the right tour for you and your group.
Winter transforms the glacier into a completely different landscape—quiet snowfields, deep blue ice, and dramatic textures you won’t see any other time of year. It’s one of the most photogenic and peaceful ways to experience Alaska.
After check-in and a safety briefing, you’ll take a scenic helicopter flight to a remote glacier location. From there, you’ll explore on foot with your guide, taking in the terrain, learning about the environment, and stopping for photos before returning by helicopter.
This is considered a moderate activity. Expect light to moderate walking (about 0.5–2 miles), with plenty of stops along the way. The pace is relaxed and designed to be approachable for most guests.
No experience is necessary. Your guide will provide instruction on footing and movement, and adjust the route based on your comfort level.
We provide microspikes or snowshoes depending on conditions, along with trekking poles and helmets when needed. Everything is set up to keep you safe and comfortable on the glacier.
When conditions allow, ice skating may be included as part of the experience. If you’re interested, let us know when booking and our team will follow up.
Expect snow-covered landscapes, towering ice walls, frozen textures, and soft winter light. Each day is different, and your pilot will select the best location based on conditions. We sometimes get ice cave formations, but ice cave formations are not always available.
Dress for winter conditions with warm boots, insulated layers, a waterproof outer layer, gloves, and a hat. Sunglasses and a camera are highly recommended.
All flights are weather dependent. If conditions aren’t safe, we’ll work with you to reschedule or provide a refund.
