This staff favorite gives you time to fully experience Alaska’s wilderness. With dozens of alpine ridges and glacier landing areas to choose from, most hikes include views of at least one glacier, sometimes two or three. Your guide selects the best location based on the weather, your interests, and your preferred pace. Want to explore the ice itself? We can even land right on a glacier for a one-of-a-kind hike.

After a quick gear check and packing our Alaskan Trail Snacks, we’ll lift off for your chosen destination. Once the helicopter departs, silence settles in and it’s just you, your guide, and the wilderness. You’ll have up to four hours to explore—stop for photos, enjoy lunch with a view, or scramble up a ridge to see what’s beyond. This tour moves at your pace, so the adventure is completely your own.

Groups are kept small, usually 2–4 guests and never more than 6 per guide. Larger groups are split into smaller parties, sometimes at different locations, to keep the experience intimate. Photographers with tripods and multiple lenses are welcome too—your guide will happily wait with you for the perfect light or a closer look at wildlife.
